Started a New Position as Scientific Associate for AI at Swisstransplant

I’m happy to share that I have joined Swisstransplant, the Swiss National Foundation for Organ Donation and Transplantation, as Scientific Associate for AI (80%)!

In this role, I’m working on how artificial intelligence can support research and medicine in organ donation and transplantation. I contribute to clinical studies as well as research and quality assurance projects, conduct scientific research on medical topics, and develop and apply AI-supported methods for research, data management and scientific documentation. I am also developing a concept for introducing AI into medical applications and will lead and support its stepwise implementation, with the aim of improving data quality and making AI a reliable tool in everyday clinical and scientific work.

I will continue to work as a researcher in eHealth at the Software Engineering Group, University of Bern (20%), and I’m excited to bring both perspectives together in this important field.
