Start of the Inno-Cheque Project mina App
I am excited to announce that for the next six months, I get the chance to work on a data visualization project, focusing on the core analytics features for the mina mobile app. This is a six-month inno-cheque project, funded by Innosuisse to test the feasibility and market potential of this innovative idea.
The mina app is being developed as a holistic compass for all cycle phases, combining tracking, reflection, and prevention with data-driven health reports designed to strengthen the health literacy of users. It offers personalized reports that combine symptom and emotional diaries, laboratory values, and analyses to promote self-care and facilitate communication with doctors, therapists, and coaches.
The current data visualization project is focused on providing users with an in-depth insight into their cycle course and the connections between physical, emotional, and contextual factors. This work focuses on creating visual summaries for:
- Basic Statistics and Frequency Analyses: Displaying fundamental data, such as average cycle duration (with suggestions for overview graphics and pie charts), and showing the frequency of challenges or symptoms per phase (with suggestions for Heatmaps and Bubblecharts).
- Pattern and Trend Analysis: Developing filterable curve diagrams to track variables like mood, energy, sleep, and stress levels over several cycles.
- Correlations & Regression Analysis: Visualizing the relationship between cycle phase and physical or emotional/mental symptoms using trend lines.
By focusing on these sophisticated data analyses and their intuitive visualizations, the mina app aims to deliver a personal, data-based picture that is valuable for both self-reflection and professional discussions.
